Adjusting Time Out on Cooper Atkins Thermometers

Optimizing Auto Sleep Settings

Cooper Atkins Thermometers arrive from the factory with a default 5-minute Auto Sleep and Time Out setting. This short duration can cause the device to turn off unexpectedly during a line check or a longer checklist, which occasionally creates connection issues between the thermometer and the app.

Fortunately, adjusting this setting to a longer duration is quick and easy, ensuring your device stays connected without turning off constantly.

How to Adjust Your Settings

How Will I Know If A Bluetooth Thermometer Was Used?

Tracking Data Sources

OpsAnalitica tracks the source of every single entry made in the system. You can quickly verify whether a temperature reading was taken using a Bluetooth Thermometer directly from while working a Checklist or on the Completed Report.

Identifying Bluetooth Entries

  • Bluetooth Entries: A Thermometer icon appears next to temperature readings captured using a connected Bluetooth device.

  • Manual Entries: If there is no icon next to the entry, the temperature was entered manually by hand.

Customizing Verification Rules

If you want to enforce Bluetooth thermometer usage across your team, you can require staff to leave a mandatory comment whenever a reading is entered manually without a thermometer. To enable this rule on your platform, simply contact your OpsAnalitica Administrator.

Best Practices for Purchasing

  1. Test First: Purchase a single unit to test with your tablet and verify system compatibility before placing a bulk order.

  2. Buy in Bulk: Once testing is complete, purchase in bulk to take advantage of volume discounts.

  3. Select Screen Models: We recommend models with built-in digital screens. Although slightly higher in price, they allow team members to take quick temperature checks independently of the app.

Note: If you already own Bluetooth thermometers from another brand, reach out to our team—we may be able to add support for your hardware!
